O projeto TIA - Tourism International Academy tem como principal objetivo a criação de um novo centro de referência de carácter internacional para a educação e formação em modalidades online ou presencial e para a promoção de atividades de Inovação nas áreas do Turismo e Hotelaria (T&H) baseadas na experiência e conhecimento trans e interdisciplinares das diversas instituições envolvidas. O fim último é o de alavancar o progresso e desenvolvimento de atividades associadas aos setores do T&H tanto a nível nacional como internacional. Os principais objetivos são os seguintes: Desenvolver atividades que visem a promoção da educação, formação, investigação e inovação na área do T&H em Portugal, contribuindo para o progresso do turismo nas suas várias vertentes, valorizando o reconhecimento nacional e internacional deste setores e tornando-o mais resiliente às mudanças e tendências futuras; Desenvolver cursos de formação especializados, graduados e não graduados, orientados para as necessidades especificas do mercado de trabalho.
Beneficiaries
The two types are::
- Direct Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan that has been negotiated and approved by the European Union;
- Final Beneficiaries are those whose funding and projects to implement are approved following a selection process through Calls for Applications.
Call for applications
As part of the Call for Applications, submissions are requested to select the projects and final beneficiaries to whom funding will be awarded. Specific selection criteria are defined for each call, which must be reflected in the applications submitted and assessed.
The project is appraised on the basis of its compliance with the selection criteria laid down in the calls for applications, and a final score may be awarded, where applicable.

Beneficiaries representing public entities implement their project by signing one or more contracts with suppliers for goods or services through public procurement procedures.
